Film Clinic Wins Ten Awards at the Egyptian Cinema Film Association Festival

Three films produced by Film Clinic won ten awards at the the 44th Egyptian Cinema Film Association Festival. The films are; Ali, the Goat and Ibrahim by director Sherif El Bendary, Sheikh Jackson by director Amr Salama, and Withered Green by director Mohammad Hammad.

Ali, the Goat and Ibrahim received the Samy Al Salamouny Award for Renewal and Creation to director Sherif El Bendary, Best Actress in a Supporting Role award to Salwa Mohamed Aly, and a Certificate of Appreciation in Cinematography to Amr Farouk.

Sheikh Jackson received the Acting Award to Maged El Kedwany, in addition to his role in directorMarwan Hamed's film The Originals. Ahmed Malek also won the Best Actor in a Supporting Roleaward.

Withered Green received the Special Jury Award, Best Screenplay, Best Editing to Mohammed Hammad and Mohammed El Sharqawy, and Best Sound to Sarah Qadoury.

About Ali, the Goat and Ibrahim
The film follows a strange love story of a young man living in a rough neighborhood. He travels across Egypt on the recommendation of a psychic along with Ibrahim who is almost driven mad by the voices he hears in his head. Their journey turns into a voyage of friendship and self-discovery.

The film stars Ali Sobhi, Ahmed Magdy, Salwa Mohamed Aly and Nahed El Sebai. Ali, the Goat and Ibrahim is written by Ahmed Amer, based on Ibrahim El Batout's story, directed by Sherif El Bendaryand produced by Mohamed Hefzy's Film Clinic, Transit Films of Hossam Elouan,and the French film production company Arizona Productions led by Guillaume de Seille, along with Daniel Ziskind as Associate Producer. The film's distribution in the Arab world is jointly handled by MAD Solutions andFilm Clinic-Indie Distribution (FCID), while its worldwide distribution is handled by the French sales agent Loco Films.

About Sheikh Jackson
The events of the film take us back to June 25, 2009 as the news of Michael Jackson's death took the world by storm affecting many, especially a preacher who is dubbed "Jackson" during his school days. But, what does a preacher have in common with the King of Pop? More importantly, can he now go back to his normal life, or will his memories and relationships with his loved ones raise the most prominent question in his mind? Is he the Sheikh, Jackson, or both?

Sheikh Jackson is written and directed by Amr Salama and co-written by Omar Khaled. The film starsAhmad Al Fishawy, Maged El Kedwany, Ahmed Malek, along with guest stars Amina Khalil, Dorra,Basma and Mahmoud El Bezawy. Sheikh Jackson is co-produced by The Producers, Film Clinic andiProductions. The German company Media Luna is responsible for distributing the film outside the Arab world, while Cleopatra Entertainment acquired the film's screening rights in North America planning to release it in theaters in the first quarter of 2018. MAD Solutions is handling the Sheikh Jackson's marketing and designed its poster that is used regionally and internationally.

About Withered Green
Withered Green tells the story of young Iman, a conservative religious person, who takes people's opinions of her into account and shows uptight restriction to all the withering social traditions. However, a shocking discovery prompts her to do away with all these withered traditions that she once clung to. Written and directed by Mohammed Hammad, Withered Green is produced by Hammad, Kholoud Saadand Mohammed El Sharqawy in collaboration with producer Mohamed Hefzy (Film Clinic).
