The Cairo International Film Festival has revealed that Producer and Scriptwriter Mohamed Hefzy has been selected as an advisor for the Cairo Film Connection, which is held within the framework of the Festival. Director Maggie Morgan will act as Moderator.
The Cairo Film Connection is the latest cooperation that aims to broaden the range of communication to attract co-production filmmaking in the Arab world. It is held as part of the 37th edition of the Cairo International Film Festival and will be managed by Maggie Morgan and supervised by Mohamed Hefzy.
Concerning his selection as an advisor for the Cairo Film Connection, Mohamed Hefzy said, "I am delighted that Cairo Film Connection is returning this year and I am only glad to help at a time when such co-production markets are much needed in the region."
Mohamed Hefzy was previously selected as a member of the Cairo International Film Festival jury in 2010. He was also appointed as the Festival Director of the 16th Ismailia International Film Festival for Documentaries and Shorts.
