Mohamed Hefzy

Founder & President

A renowned Egyptian screenwriter and producer, with an evolving filmography of more than 40 feature films including worldwide acclaimed titles Clash (2016), Sheikh Jackson (2017), Luxor (2020), and Feathers (2021). He served as a jury member in various international festivals including the 2022 Sundance Film Festival and the 75th Venice International Film Festival. As of its 40th edition and for four consecutive years; Mohamed Hefzy was the appointed President of the Cairo International Film Festival.

In 2005, He founded Film Clinic; the now pioneer production house in the MENA region with a variety of commercial blockbusters & Art house films that have participated in major film festivals worldwide including; Cannes, Venice, Berlin, Sundance, Toronto, and Tribeca with more than 100 international awards under its belt. Later Hefzy founded Film Clinic Indie Distribution, with a mission to create opportunities for Arab independent films within and beyond festival circuits & Co- founded Meem Creative Circle which produced Netflix’s first Egyptian original series; Paranormal.

Hefzy was cited among 30 future leaders in film production by Screen International, headed Variety’s list of Ten names you need to know in the Arab Film Industry and was among Variety’s 500 list of the most influential people in the media industry worldwide. He was granted the Arab Cinema Personality of the Year award by the Hollywood Reporter & Arab Cinema Center. Hefzy is an official member of the Academy of Motion Pictures Arts And Sciences in the producers’ branch. In recognition of his significant contribution to the Arab film scene, He was honored as a “Chevalier dans l’Ordre des Arts et Lettres” from France.

Jessica Khoury

Jessica Khoury is a seasoned professional and accomplished Media & Entertainment Executive, boasting a wealth of experience in the realm of Independent Cinema and filmmaking. Prior to her tenure at Film Clinic’s distribution arm Film Clinic Indie Distribution, Jessica held pivotal positions at Pacha Pictures in Paris and Abbout Productions and its distribution sister company MC Distribution in Beirut, where she played a significant role in honing her global and regional acumen. Khoury served as the Executive Director of Beirut Cinema Days for two editions and as the Director of AFLAMUNA (formerly Beirut Cinema Platform) for three years, where she demonstrated her leadership and expertise in developing the Lebanese Film Industry. She is distinguished as a GMM 2022 Fellow and an esteemed alumni of the 2019 EAVE Producers Workshop. Presently, Jessica Khoury serves as the Vice President of Business Affairs at Film Clinic, where she continues to contribute her strategic insights and industry knowledge to drive the company's success.

Hend Radwan

Currently Film Clinic Vice President of production is an enthusiastic media production professional, who is focused on innovative concepts and fresh
approaches, Hend believes in the power of original thinking and production excellence, she began her profession quite early, which has given her a deep understanding of the field. Hend is well known for her passion and is fueled by her 20 years of expertise, which makes her a key player in setting a new standard for taking projects from conception to creation.

Hend has a track record of leading high-profile modern shows by taking a key part in their development and production. She has an unmistakable ability to lead and create innovative content. Hend has extensive experience in the Middle East region, having worked on numerous projects in Egypt, Saudi Arabia,United Arab of Emirates, and Lebanon.

Maram El Bedaiwy

Head of Marketing & Communication

Maram El Bedaiwy is a professional in the Film and Entertainment Industry. Since 2018, she has played integral roles in Egypt's most prominent film festivals and entertainment companies. Her tenure at the Cairo International Film Festival provided her with invaluable insights into the logistical intricacies of organizing a world-class cinematic event. Transitioning to El Gouna Film Festival, Maram delved deeper into the industry's inner workings. Her role within the festival's industry branch allowed her to actively contribute to the development of the regional film ecosystem. In parallel to her festival engagements, Maram had worked previously within the realm of Marketing, Production and PR. For the past three years She spearheaded the Marketing and Communication efforts at Film Clinic and its affiliate companies. Through strategic vision and innovative campaigns, solidifying their position as leaders in film production and distribution in the region. Maram’s commitment to professional development is evident in her participation in prestigious programs such as the IEFTA Industry Mentorship Program and the Beirut – Locarno Industry Academy.

Ahmed Sobky

Senior Distribution Manager

Ahmed Sobky started his career in film PR and marketing, later venturing into
film distribution in Egypt and the Arab region. In 2015 he joined Zawya to
launch the distribution arm for the art-house and independent cinema with a focus on Egyptian films. As the Head of Distribution, he has worked on the regional distribution of Egyptian films including “Cactus Flower”, “In the Last Days of the City”, and “Poisonous Roses”.

In 2017 he started representing the library catalog of Misr International
Films (MIF) including the newly restored films of Youssef Chahine. At MIF he worked on mobilizing the library to bring it to a new audience through the fast-changing TV and VOD landscape. He also focused on the theatrical exhibition of the Chahine titles through retrospectives in Cinémathèque française, British Film Institute, Karlovy Vary Film Festival, Danish Film Institute, and numerous
other film institutes around the world.

Ahmed has been part of multiple distribution workshops including Berlinale Talents, Torino Film Lab and Beirut International Locarno Academy

Youssef Hesham

Head of Development

Youssef Hesham is a film director, producer, and writer, festivals programmer and instructor with more than twenty years of experience in the industry. Since 2003 Youssef has directed thirteen short fiction and documentaries and has won several awards for his films. He also worked in film festivals programming for major film festivals including, Cairo International Film Festival, Ismailia International Film Festival, and SHNIT World Film Festival (Cairo edition). Throughout his career, Youssef worked as an assistant director, director, producer, editor, and script doctor, which gave him a fully rounded industry experience. He also worked as an instructor and module leader for Screenwriting and supervised Graduation Projects for the British University in Egypt (BUE) besides teaching in filmmaking workshops. He got his MFA degree in Film and Media Arts from Emerson College, Boston (2020). Winner of The President's Award from Emerson College, Class 2020, for his thesis film, The New Tenant.

Amina Abdelwahab

Development Producer

Amina Abdelwahab graduated from the University of York with a Bachelor of Science in Film & TV production. She started her career in London working at the Walt Disney Company as a junior creative. In Cairo Amina has been working in development for a few years. She worked on many projects such as Netflix’s ‘Paranormal’ and Shahid’s ‘Bimbo’ as a Development Producer. She also worked as an Assistant Director on ‘Bimbo’ and 'The 7th Year Itch’.

Myra Massoud

Project Coordinator

Myra Massoud is a French literature major from the Sorbonne University in Paris. She works at Film Clinic as a Project Coordinator. In 2022, she was the director's assistant on Abu Bakr Shawky's latest film, "Hajjan" and the producer of the moving theater experience "A Cycle of Attention" at Darb 1718. She's the producer and assistant director of the play "Ebni" (2023)

Farida El Gazzar

Project Coordinator

Farida El Gazzar is an alumna of the British University in Egypt, faculty of Communication and Mass Media's Film and Media Studies Department. She began her professional journey while still a student, initially as a freelance photographer and later as an Assistant Director for independent short films and advertisements. Farida took part in several short films during her academic years and continues to write with aspirations to direct her own projects. Upon graduating, where she ranked 2nd in her class, Farida worked as a Teaching Assistant in modules such as Graduation Projects, Film Production, Screenwriting, and Film Directing. Additionally, she served as a product and editorial photographer for Nuniz. Currently, Farida currently works as a Project Coordinator at Film Clinic

With over 20 years’ experience in the corporate world, and in particular Administration, accounts payable, and accounts receivable, Manal has been a critical team member in some of the Australian leading companies.

Manal has been accredited with a degree in Business Management from the Royal Victoria University in Melbourne Australia, along with several other accreditations in business leadership and public relations.

Manal has led an impressive career as a team leader and admin manager and was awarded Best Team Leader by Toll Global Freight.

Manal has also been involved in arranging many international conferences, leading a large team of volunteers. Manal can deal with all levels of management and team members; her CAN-DO attitude and social skills are also a great asset to her.
